Coming up with a list of the hottest news anchors is no joke. What makes this even harder is the fact that many companies are not just going for the average looking women out there. They have to be beautiful. That notwithstanding, we will look at the ten most beautiful news anchors on TV today.
1. Susan Li
At number ten we have Susan Li, who is a Hong Kong-based news anchor with Bloomberg Television. After college, she started off as an anchor for CCTV in China before becoming a part of Bloomberg TV in 2006 where she hosts First Up with Susan Li. This is the show that won the Best News Program at the Asian Television Awards in 2012. In the show, she tells stories from Asia and around the world. She is also a co-host for Asia Edge that features extended interviews with in-depth market coverage.
2. Megyn Kelly
She is the current anchor of America Live on Fox News Channel where she started in 2010. Megyn was a lawyer before moving into TV. In fact, she had a nine-year career in the courts after graduating in 1995. She started her journey on TV in 2004 when she became a general reporter and later moved to Fox News where she reported on breaking news and major events. She con-anchored the election night alongside Bret Baier and many other political events that seem to have thrust her into the limelight.
3. Robin Meade
Number 8 on our list is a daughter of a minister who began her career in the media industry as a reporter with WMFD-TV in Ohio. She later moved up to become an anchor and reporter for WCMH-TV and WJW-TV in Cleveland. After those gigs, she rose to be a morning news anchor with WESVN-TV. It was not until Sep 2011 that she made her debut on CNN where she has developed into the host that she is now. She hosts the Morning Express with Robin Meade. During this period on TV, she has also gone on to win a regional Emmy Award for covering the 1995 collision between a train and school bus in Fox River Grove. In 2012, she was again recognized by Lycos as one of the top 20 most popular TV news personalities. Playboy even gave the sexiest newscaster award in 2004.
4. Julie Banderas
Julie is the current co-host of Fox and Friends First, a daily show that airs at 5 Am/ET. After college, she kick-started her career with a small news station in Cambridge. She later grew to host news with a number of stations in Virginia, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania before moving to NYC. She joined FOX News in 2005 as a general reporter before landing her current gig several years later.
5. Alex Wagner
After school, Alex Wagner tried her hand in journalism, which was quite a success. She became an editor at Fader, which saw her become an editor-in-chief for four years. It is then that she moved to an NGO before moving to TV in 2009 as an anchor. She is currently with MSNBC where she hosts a political program.
6. Gigi Stone
She is a correspondent with Bloomberg TV in NYC where she focuses on all aspects of business and breaking news. She has been at major events such as the Bernard Madoff trial, Galleon Group insider trading case and UBS tax evasion investigation. Before moving to Bloomberg, she reported on business, finance and consumer affairs for ABC News. She was also the New York correspondent for Good Morning America on the same network.
7. Jenna Lee
Jenna is a native of San Francisco who made her debut as an anchor a few years after graduating. She had worked with Forbes as a news anchor before joining the FOX business Network. However, she would make appearances on some shows on the Fox News Channel before making a permanent switch there. Currently, she co-hosts Happening Now with Jon Scott.
8. Brooke Baldwin
We are now into the top 3, and this is where Brooke Baldwin comes in. At 32 years of age, she is an anchor at the CNN newsroom at the company’s headquarters in Atlanta. Before getting her spot, she contributed to Rick’s List before finally taking over the show when Rick was fired. Today, she is on TV between 2 and 4 PM.
9. Tamron Hall
She is the national correspondent for NBC’s Today. Apart from that, she a day-side anchor for MSNBC for the show known as NewsNation with Tamron Hall. She is also the anchor for the third hour of Today Show together with Roker, Morales, and Willie Geist. After graduating, she started off as a reporter in Dallas before moving to a better position in Chicago and then MSNBC.
10. Courtney Friel
The hottest news anchor on our list is none other than Courtney Friel, who works for KTTV in Los Angeles. She began as a sports anchor on GoTV and was also a hostess for the World Poker Tour. She has also had numerous appearances on E! Entertainment and Oxygen Channel. Before moving to KTTV, she was a fill-in anchor and general reporter for Fox News.
